Danielle Fontaine Koslowsky is a visual artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada working and living on Treaty 1 Territory and Homeland of the Métis Nation. Danielle currently paints and sculpts in her studio at 618 ARTlington, and serves on the MHC Gallery board.

You can find her works in the Canadian Mennonite University Chapel and on campus, and in private collections across the US and Canada.

'Art that arises out of the inner landscape, and is connected to our lived experience, illuminates the darkness and heals the soul' - Daria Halprin

My work explores my own inner life - a fractal of the human experience. I use painting as a medium through which to make the invisible, visible. Colour, mark, texture, and form give expression to feelings, reflections, ideas and insight where language fails. I work with what is finite in hopes of creating something lasting through which the viewer is enriched.

My artistic discipline includes showing up, being open, and surrendering to the creative process. I see myself as a vessel, guided by the work. This surrendering allows me to circumvent the intellect in order to access my intuition as a source of truth. A sacred adventure.
